BIG LOSS: TAS Ecolab suffer First defeat of the Season

Six from Six and only 1 more win needed to gain Premier Status on Thursday nights competition ended sadly for TAS Ecolab Premier Netball Team on Saturday when they were upset by TAC Premier Team 44-39.

TAC Premier team came into this game with only the one lost vs Ohaupo earlier in the month, but luckily gaining an all important bonus point, knew what they had to do, Knockoff the Competition leaders TAS Ecolab and gain direct entry in the Premier Division on Thursday Nights for the Competition Round of the season.

TAC have had troubles earlier in the Promotion Relegation round with injuries, but they were at full strength going into this game. TAS Ecolab who continue to Re-build their Club’s Premier Netball program through their Head Coach Hyrum Sunnex and Mental Skills Coach Mark Sutherland, has been working hard with their players and athletes to prepare them for this game.

Unfortunately it did not go well for their team this time, as TAC Goal Shooter, Zoe Kaihe was in outstanding form shooting 39 out of their teams 44 goals. The momentum shifted many times throughout this game, with TAS Ecolab getting within 1 goal at the end of the third quarter.

But errors came into the goal from TAS Ecolab and they just couldnt claw their way back into the match to take the lead. Unfortunately for TAS Ecolab they will remain in Premier Reserve grade for 2016 season and look to Take out the Competition for that grade.

All players gave it their today and their coaching staff were very proud of them holding their heads high, it was not the result they were looking after, but TAC played much better given the situation and occasion for both teams.
