The Board of Te Awamutu Rugby Sports and Recreation are pleased to announce that Peter Arndell has joined the staff in the new role of General Manager, starting 1 March 2016. “Peter has spent the last decade in sports management, with senior roles in football and motorsport”, said Stuart Gudsell, TA Sports Chairman.
“It was an exhaustive recruitment process with outstanding applications from candidates, both nationally and across the region. However, in the end, the appointment was an easy one to make. Peter had demonstrated outstanding experience, qualities and understanding across the sport sector”.
A former CEO of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Football Federation, Arndell has taken up the new challenge of working with multiple sports with outstanding facilities at their disposal. “We have so many challenges in the sporting environment but we are blessed to have such a strong and committed volunteer base and dedicated staff”. said Arndell
“The facilities that the club controls are the envy of many outside the Te Awamutu area and we continue to make a positive difference in our community. Sponsors and funders are a priority to our organisation and we must succeed in delivering ongoing value”.
