Te Awamutu Rugby Sports & Recreation Club is seeking a Director of Rugby (DOR)
Candidates should have a good knowledge and understanding of club rugby as well as outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong empathy for the culture that exists in Te Awamutu Rugby will need to be demonstrated, as will high levels of integrity, passion and competitive drive.
Applicants should have the experience and capability to:
- To support and provide a value-added experience for all rugby players associated with Te Awamutu Sport Club junior, Intermediate, College, and senior club rugby.
- To support and assist in “coaching the coaches” at all levels of rugby associated with Te Awamutu Sports Club (junior and senior rugby) and Te Awamutu College rugby.
- To assist in the recruitment and retention of players and coaches within the Te Awamutu community to follow a Te Awamutu Sports Club junior rugby – Te Awamutu College – Te Awamutu Sports Club senior rugby continuous pathway, thereby enhancing and strengthening rugby in Te Awamutu.
- To support and connect the Director of Rugby and Te Awamutu Sports Club senior rugby, sponsors and partners, ensuring they receive a value-added experience and continue to see the relevance in supporting rugby in Te Awamutu and at the club.
The Director of Rugby role is based in Te Awamutu.
